I saw last thread people discuss subunits and ORIO got bought up so I'm going to rant about it again because I'm still fucking annoyed after all this time. It started with the holo radio show

They were actually really popular, got a lot of response from the audience and cover thought 'we should do something with this'
Around the same time Square Enix came to Cover looking for holos to do the theme song for one of their new throwaway mobile games/mixed media boondoggles, Deep Insanity ASYLUM. Cover put Towa and Kanata on it, they did not have a subunit name yet. They make Madoromi and promote it with this stream and eventually the MV.

These releases do well, Square Enix is very happy so Cover decided to make Towa and Kanata a proper unit. They went back to the radio show and asked the listeners to name the unit. They then used words from letters viewers sent in to make the unit's first original song, Over Time. This got delayed a lot and then was randomly dropped on the hololive main channel and the topic version was dumped on Kanata's topic.

During these few months they pushed Towa and Kanata together in a few collabs and did music focused interviews about the unit. Then they put together an EP with the same name and had ORIO as the opening act for the hololive unit 3D live along with AyaFubuMi and NegiU.

This was the first time their new songs were shown however at the shill portion at the end of the live they were completely absent, only the NegiU and AyaFubuMi releases were shown. The Over Time EP was not released until the end of the following month with a single tweet and again, dumped onto Kanata's topic channel. Cover never did anything with ORIO since.
