Yes. Each one of them, splashing down into the sea and floating there while living out the rest of their lives.

Having realized their situation the sheep chose the sea.

-Probably. They'd just splash away pushing their way through the waves.
That would be nice - even if they couldn't fly.
But even so, there are no islands for them to reach.
None at all.
