Lancelot can keep up with Gate of Babylon, sure, but he won't advance far under constant fire. It's a neutralization, not a defeat. Lancelot doesn't harm Gilgamesh at all during such a battle.
Which is harmfully wasteful attrition, as Lancelot has the self-destructing Master.
