-Aoba Shinji is absolutely insane and spent time in prison and in mental correctional facility.
-Aoba Shinji chose the perfect day to attack KyoAni, NHK came to shoot footage for a special on KyoAni, and the security was lowered. Aoba seemed to know this even though he should have had no way of knowing.
-NHK did weird stuff like twist Hatta's words to make it sound like the security being down wasn't NHK's fault. They also tore info out of an article and did some other strange behavior.
-Aoba didn't seem to understand his own plan
-KyoAni was becoming potentially a threat to media conglomerates not only through seeking to fund itself, but also just through being culturally influential.
-Tons of other weird details such as NHK visiting the same correctional facility that Aoba was at, roof being locked, strange behavior in Kyouto before the crime, etc.
