I only have one and I liked it. I plan on reading some more when I have the time. If you're interested in one it might help to look at reviews online (beware of spoilers) or look at what the writers did aside from it.

I think it's pretty subjective in the end. I enjoy watching dumb cliché anime, reading moege and the likes, ... but to some people it's impossible for them to get over themselves and do the same. If you like the setting and I presume like Vocaloid, then the one you posted a pic of could indeed be pretty fun.

You need to know Japanese though, there's no other way around this, and you'd better start learning than reading translations.
