That day is going to be a big fucking Gosling day, but in preparation, we're building up a stockpile of new OC that we can use to phase in new representations for a mascot. Templates are being passed around and source material is being scanned through, with some anons searching for good fish to use, some searching for alligators, and some searching through old Sherlock Holmes media.
Either Goslings hit their climax and we phase them out, or we have new OC alongside it to fit more situations. It's not being prepped for if she hates it or not, but for us to evolve beyond being the only group without our own mascot.

Teamates... Ame is saying it's cute that Teamates are shipping each other in dead hours...

The Aloe Incident hurt the entire gen's growth potential. They went from being the new face of Hololive and bursting with power to inward-facing and more jaded in a month, in terms of growth potential.
You can see it with how they've grown. Instead of the way Gen 4 grew (with each one breaking to their own path, but keeping their camaraderie strong through stuff like Asacoco) or Gen 3 grew (explosively and on their own paths for the most part, but with warm friendships that occasionally come back up), Gen 5 is incredibly close and doesn't spread out their content as far compared to their start, because they didn't get to bounce off of each other without the inevitable regret seeping in.
Think of that chart that gets posted around here every once in a while that explains how each of the girls link to each other for EN. Gen 5 is like if that chart had a hole blown through it before they could move past their debut personas, and it kept them in stasis for a good long while.
The only upside for any of that is that Gen 5's connection with each other is now probably the strongest in the entire company, because they don't want to lose anyone else again.
