I can't into moonrunes but from what I understood, Komeiji and Koichi are just the eyes so some kind of parasite, the story about them being cat and dog and the couple was before they went into Gensokyo, the couple story is what make Koichi a bit insane for starting and the moonbitch probably sent them to Gensokyo as spies for their big plan or something...

Even if the art of episode 13 was better than 12, I really do miss the old artstyle though.

Part fucking 5 is when everything goes to shit, and ep 8 is when all that built up shit hits the fucking pan. And the situation just gets worse.

It's like I'm watching Narutaru/Higurashi/Umineko/Some Epic Mystery Tragedy or something.
