Mostly, I've determined that it’ll work best to do the kimono as a separate bodice and skirt, cause i wanna make it more figure-hugging than Yuyuko's big flowy kimono, and that means I’ll need to do darts to get around the dread fumobutt. A waist seam will let me hide those better, and it'll get hidden under the sash in the end. (Plus, as I discovered by studying my Yuyuko, this is how Gift did a kimono, so there is official merit to the method.)
