Yoppi: the eroge yandere archtype. She's not so much on the stabbing, and is more of an psychological warfare type. Although she does become suicidally depressed and has been known to comit acts of violence if she can get away with it. We could go on for pages about how fucked up she is -- and I don't mean fucked up in an emo, baw my parents left me alone sort of way, and more of serious psychosis requiring large amounts of medication sort of way. She's just not right in the head...and she's the perfect yandere waifu.

The question of children, a problem with no easy answer. In general, yanderes would make poor mothers, and the child would be at constant risk of being targeted by the yandere's psychotic episodes. It's not impossible, however, with enough care from her man. Some yanderes, like Yoppi (pictured), reject the idea of children because they see themselves of beings which must not bear new life -- but other yanderes may be quite open to it, ot even feel they would want it. Regardless, they will bow to the wishes of their loved one, so it's something the anon should struggle with first.

The yandere has no deep meaning behind her insanity; her mental damage is clearly understood by an overview of her childhood -- typically some form of traumatic abuse. They're weak minds that broke down under an emotional strain, and survive via a fractured perception of reality. They seem hard-pressed or incapable of supressing their physcotic episodes.

But because their minds are broken, things like ego protection, social barriers, and so on, don't occur to them. If they see a guy they want, they aren't inhibited in a way a mentally healthy girl would. In addtion, the yandere is not a cool, highly intelligent person; she is actually quite simple, with her most base destructive impulses kept in check only by a thin veneer of normal behavior. Though simple, she has an the uncanny instincts of an animal; she can smell weakness and fear and homes in on these like a shark goes after blood on the water. Her closeness to her animal nature is exactly what makes those with healthy minds fear her.

Games with yanderes (or reasonably yandere-like):

1. Tsuyokiss, Yoppi. Archtypical yandere. Pictured to the left.
2. School Days, Kotonoha (in her bad routes) and Sekai (in her bad end).
3. Kimi ga Nozomu Eine, the green haired chick I forget her name now in her bad end. She's pretty twisted.

Umm....damn...the yandere population kind of light. Bearing in mind just being evil or violent doesn't make a girl a yandere; there has to be a strong element of mental illness.

Sayrin was more emotionally powerful with a memorable love conqouers all (play the fandisc) ending. But G-senjou is more intellectual and exciting. Sayrin, all the girls' plotlines were melded into the main storyline -- getting with any girl only effected who you would have a sex scene and ending scene with. Then the fandisc had extended "hapily-ever-after" scenarios for each girl (in addition to Houdzuki's backstory which is the real reason why you play it). G-senjou branch endings suck because this game is centered around Usami and the Maou.

Other top notch H games:
Eine no Aseria -- piognant, epic, evil route, lots of sex, must play.
Tsuyokiss -- slapstick, lots of good girls, best tsundere, must be played Yoppi (see pictured).
Kimi ga Nozomu Eine -- One of the best eroge ever made.
Muv-Luv & Muv-Luv Alternative -- closest thing to a Hollywood blockbuster any eroge is going to get.

This reminds me of the Yandere vs. Tsundere thread.

Tsundere: Cool and composed, looks down on you while can't help but to keep looking. Ignores you, but can't stop thinking about you. Says things she doesn't mean because the truth is too embarrasing.

Yandere: Gentle and unassuming, she breaks into your home at night, and masterbates while hiding under your bed. When you leave in the morning she comes out, licks your pillow and checks your answering machine for bitches trying to steal you away from her.

The final conclusion: Tsunderes are strong, but Yanderes are just stronger.
