I think it's simple.
This place is mostly men, men who want to have cute girls and are desperate for it.
So this somehow converts some less masculine men to be what the desire.

I remember when I was 17, I wanted to be all this. Cosplays, wigs, make-up padding.
But now, it wore off... I drifted into more masculine stuff, maybe it has something to do with my position in employment. So now, 3 years later I more care about vintage tech, thinkpads, keyboards and other stupid stuff.
It feels dreadful, that this happened.
