I went to Reni's maid cafe last year by myself. It was fun.

Reni sings a few songs, and there were a few maids focused on serving food and drinks. But, essentially, it was a cosplay meetup. There were lots of girls doing coordinated dances. Lots of posing for pictures. Most the people knew most of the people from other events, like NYCC, etc.

Apple Kissa maid cafe is more "authentic" maid cafe, I think.

Anyway: just go, it won't blow your mind, but you won't be the only person there by themself.
