OK guys, I did it.
What I did was divide all Kanji into 500 pieces and tagging all words that were excluded in the search and going backwards. I now have 1500 entries (out of 6k) I am guaranteed to know the Kanji of. I assume most of those are Hiragana/Katakana only but that's alright. As I progress in my Kanji studies I can unsuspend the later entries in chunks. This was really challenging.
