Hey guys, did you know that etymology of idol comes from church Latin and means image made to represent a god?(the Latin version comes from Greek Eidos meaning an idealized essence/theory of something, gods for example)
Pretty funny, isn't it!
Language and humanity in general was always the type to do these repeating patterns, for example did you know that nigger means literally black but it became insult just like Person of Colour is becoming one today!
