Hey /JP/

whats the best ORIGINAL anime film you've seen?

By that I mean stuff like Paprika..Girl who leapt through time, anime films unrelated to ongoing series. C: Really interesting ones...

I'd say Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers.

I just saw Paprika. While the movie was good, what really hooked me was the music...

Susumu Hirasawa is fucking awesome, transformational. It's not standard Enya new agey BS... It's irrational, scizophrenic music. It makes you feel like laughing at catastrophic destruction, even happy pieces, such as the title track of Paprika. I'm becoming obsessed.

Is this not standard fare for Japanese music, or are there more artists like this? Does anyone know any other artists that have this quality? Maybe even western or non-Japanese I don't care.
