Sumeriko is especially shit when paired with Rinnosuke, and frankly she ruins Rinnosuke's character.
I've seen people say they work perfectly together, since Sumeriko can tell him what the objects he likes to collect do, but it's the exact opposite.
These characters should never have been introduced to each other because Rinnosuke is at his most interesting when he interprets modern inventions through the lens of someone who has only ever lived in Gensokyo.
We will never again have a moment where Rinnosuke thinks some Gameboy is a weapon of mass destruction, or where he finds two identical arms and thinks that the outside world has a human factory.
To actually have an understanding of the outside world takes away from his character, it adds nothing.

That's not even to mention how shit Sumeriko is on her own, she just has nothing interesting going on, I read about Touhou because I want to know more about the people of Gensokyo, I don't want to read about some random zoomer who every character cares for, for some reason.
Her character adds nothing positive to the franchise.
