Last night we had a thread and came up with a theory that had Shannon and Kanon being different people, but still allowed for Kanon to rescue Battler in EP6 and allows for the possibility of Kanontrice (it basically involves Kanon inheriting Kinzo's name, as Battler speculated about at the end of EP4, and thus being exempted from the "everyone else" red text in EP6, because Erika requested that Battler exclude Kinzo from the text after Battler refused to state that everyone else was in the other room on the basis that Kinzo's corpse wasn't in there). Admittedly, most of the stuff in EP6 points towards Shkanon, but if it ends up being false, then Kanontrice, plus Kanon = Kinzo, is the most likely situation.

Do keep in mind that Beatrice is Battler's ideal, both physically and mentally (and no wonder, considering she was created to be his ideal), so it's pretty easy to understand why he'd fall for her like that.

She isn't, see the end of EP 1 as she is next to Battler when Beatrice walks up to them. If you pay attention you'll notice all hints at who is the physical body of Beatrice points to Kanon.

Here is some proof, bad proof but proof none the less. The point is that Kumasawa and Genji are covering for Kanon. They know who beatrice is, which should be obvious as they are Ronove and Virgilia. It is also the only time they EVER are so forceful of opinion during a conversation, which most likely comes from Beatrice being present as the scene hints multiple times.
