Commie's attempt with Aiura is an example.

It's easy enough when looking at a voiced product to just fill in the removed honorifics yourself, but what bothers me more about them being removed is that it's generally a sign of a liberal translation, and the translator then has to be more liberal the more it comes up. Pic related being an example from the third episode of Aiura, where Commie wrote out the honorifics from the first episode, and then had to deal with a conversation about them in the third, and their attempt at writing around it didn't make any sense.
At best you end up with dumb nicknames (which then gets even dumber when the original script goes from dropping honorifics to actual nicknames and the translation has to try and reflect that), at worst you end up with a script that doesn't even make sense at times. Removing honorifics is just setting yourself up for failure, especially for an ongoing series.
