Christians would have an incredibly tough time getting into Gensokyo to begin with because the mechanism behind their own religion. See, Gensokyo is a place where things that are forgotten are sent to, while even the lowliest Christian bum is remembered by his Lord.
It's implied the SDM deliberately took advantage of this moving over to Gensokyo to keep their vampire slayers off their trail.

I could see them have a stab at converting fairies, but they're opposed to the idea of Youkai and the Human Village on principal; one is composed of man-eating savages, while the other is composed of pagans who consider monotheism witchcraft. Luckily for Gensokyo, they already have enough problems with their own holdings to prevent them from seriously considering any major attempts at a mission, especially when Big Boi America and Japan call first pickings.

I dunno, I could imagine someone being an ideological rival to Yukari, going through all the same motions to become a youkai as she did only instead of wanting to make Gensokyo into a nature reserve they value something else, like fairies.
Maybe at one point, they used to work together to bring the best out of Gensokyo but split after a disagreement and now try really hard to pretend the other doesn't exist as they pursue their goals.
