Marisa leans towards masculine, too, and so does Youmu, when you think about it, and they're pretty popular (Marisa to the greater extent, though, and near as I can tell by a fair bit), her being on the masculine side, if that were in fact true beyond her character design, shouldn't be that big of a deal.
