Well, it's clearly a manor house and not a castle, which are two *very* different things.
Manor houses aren't too common outside of France and Britain, since they lack fortifications for defense against a siege, and thus needed large, stable countries with fairly stable borders to work with. Designs can vary, but the most iconic and common is the two wing design, with a central hall/staircase to the 1st floor, maybe with the ends crooked to give a courtyard.

Farmhouses can look a little similar to this, and for good reason; This design gives a very shielded courtyard to do stuff in, like haul machinery or grain, but these would have stables in the far ends of the wings, threshing rooms, stores, etc., so their shape would be more like a square horseshoe, and a manor house would be much more like a square bracket ( [ ).

Therefore, it would be helpful to know Remilia's background and occupation to get a good estimate of a layout, but my guess is that it's probably a fairly Southern English/Norman style with a vinyard attached.

Northen britain sucks at growing anything other than cereal and root vegetables, and unless Remilia is a strappin' scots lassie, I doubt she'd be on board with a diet of porridge and turnips for most of the week. Even if she was, I think she'd take any other option, that's a grim diet if there is one.

She could be southern French, but canonically in FS she speaks fluent English, which technically speaking 500 years ago might have been useful in large parts of France, but I doubt it was a very common language in English territories on the continent. Just doesn't seem very french to be anything but stubbourn when it comes to language.

Northern France/Normandy might be a bit of an exception, but I'd place my bets on some part of the south coast of england, if I had to.

I went really off topic here, but this is my opinions on Remilia's background, backed up with a little circumstantial evidence I can glean from the canon works and my own knowledge, so I hope it's interesting enough.
