Finished Re;Lord chapter 3. I definitely liked it more than the other 2 chapters, it had the same fun game play and a more impactful story, but at the same time I'm not super satisfied with the ending.
The game play builds off the other two, adding in a couple new mechanics which are nice, just attack with the various follower bonuses is cool. In general it's a sequel to the game play of the previous ones, taking most of the features and adding on some new ones. I always enjoyed the strip battles and the quick feel to the game play.
The biggest change is definitely the story though, it really comes to a head and the final chapter is pretty damn exciting, but I feel like the characters and their interactions weren't quite as strong. What happened to Iris was pretty rough, but at the same time her almost edgy, for lack of a better word, personality was really grating. Likewise I felt the prince as an antagonist was lacking, not really having much agency in the story until the final chapter where it picks up. Whereas the first two games felt more character driven, this one is a lot more story and plot focused.
The ending definitely leaves me with mixed feelings. I like the whole concept around predetermination and the effect of the witches on the story, but at the same time I really wish it had been wrapped up better and didn't lead into a sequel. I didn't hate the ending, I just can't shake the feeling of a sequel-baiting ending. In no way am I rejecting or angry about the way everything transpired, but at the same time it's just a little off putting.
Overall I'm looking forward to what's next in the series, I especially like Ria's developments. Plus there aren't nearly enough stripping based games.

As an aside, listening to the cast comments while writing this makes me wish more companies did these extra parts.
