I wanna make a slice of life comic but I don't know to start. I have an odd and specific question.

I like that in anime, they usually starts in spring and ends after new year. Making a comic, do I do it like this too? But what if I have an idea for a different season than what I'm working on?

Basically, I want to know how the original manga runs did their chapters. Do I just go read a manga from chapter 1 to current or something to get a feel for it?
