Koharu was billed as the miracle that would bring the group to its former glory a la Maki Goto and failed. The reason Tsunku brought the Chinese aboard was to expand the market into East Asia and two years later those benefical effects are still to be seen.
And as if it wasn't enough, they have been basically deprived of any screen time save for the odd appearance at music-related shows after frittering away two chances in a row due to their inability to hold anyone's interest.
Sales, on the other hand, have been at a constant 50,000 mark but that's just because there's still a bunch of hard-edged wota morons whom would lap up everything indiscriminately.
