Greetings from /v/

I've decided to begin learning Japanese since I want to get into the video game industry, and have gotten a copy of Rosetta Stone. However, I'm not entirely sure how to go about in learning the lessons. There are many different tabs, but each one takes a significant amount of time, so I'm wondering if they are just for review.

Google has failed me. Does anyone have experience with it?
