Mainstream songs being subpar doesn't mean Vocaloid is dead. I think between the lines you admitted that yourself. It just means that people have shit taste.

Sure, Vocaloid is not as popular as when it peaked (Figure 1), but it's nowhere near being dead, nor is the scene inactive in any way.

But honestly I feel this is a meme now, so that's all I have to say.
