Everything in this story is leading up to a love that has become twisted, I hate to break it to you uminigger but you can't just cope your entire life and believe that everyone is your friend and that you are literally steven universe. People are assholes and can be seen as monsters and this is the truth. A person can make an awfu;l unforgivable act out of love it is with love that Kimiyoshi is fighting so hard to protect his daughter Sakiko even if he isn't her real dad, it is with love that forces Keiichi to make acts his younger self would find unforgivable and which would SHATTER Keitarous entire view of his father.
