And honestly, despite his attitude, I did some research on the matter and the proper spellings anon had a valid point.

Apparently Japanese people don’t “choose to romanize in one form or another” like you’d think but rather it’s a matter of naivete. There’s a lot of writing on old fogey Japanese people just tellin kids to use it despite a national movement to smooth it out to one single system.

Considering writing the wrong way makes /bmsg/ look even more autistic from any knowledgeable Japanese perspective, and we are on /jp/, I can see why he/she/they are so annoyed.
