I like to think it's a mixture of 1 and 2. She was an Atlantean princess, but she didn't act in a manner befitting of one so her father stripped her of her title and exiled her to try to teach her a lesson Thor style. She left Atlantis, believing that nobody there could understand her, and decided to make a new life for herself on the surface, a place she'd long been fond of and had romanticized in her mind.
3 sounds like her but I'd rather imagine that her being directionally challenged came into play when she reached the surface and is how she found the other holos and got her gig with hololive.

He knows saying what he did was dumb, he's really self-aware. He knows his limits and won't go beyond what he's already being given. He just had an emotional moment, and we really can't fault him for that right? Besides he does really excellent art. For all his contributions to Gura, he's surely earned it already.
