That being said, ToD's cast was pretty inferior to Frontier's and 3's.

They were boring. Really boring. I can count the number of memorable skits, conversations, and events that didn't involve Pandora or Joe on one hand.

When I went back to 3 and realized how much I missed pretty much all of the bachelorettes that weren't Kuruna or Raven (I'm undecided on Shara), that really rubbed in just how bland ToD's cast really was.

The characters and skits were just one more area where it was clear that the devs knew that this game was going to sell like shit and just wanted a testing ground for the main series, though.

Combine that with it just not being fun to play (combat is boring, dungeons are boring, progression is unbalanced, exploration is tedious and not really properly exploited, farming is dumbed down while still taking up just as much time), and I can't honestly recommend it to anyone, not even as one Rune Factory fan to another.

As I said before, while Sofia grew on me, I still like titty ditz moe mermaid more. I remember going out in the rain specifically to see her going around, and she was all "Oh, by the way I'm a mermaid" and she was around in mermaid form once in a while after that. Also, she has some of my favorite deliveries.

The one girl I couldn't really get into was Carmen, but I was told that her best events are later in the relationship, and people who like her tend to say she's leagues ahead of everyone else.
