I wasn't expecting much from Ruu at all since he's the main boy and these tend to be the ones hit the hardest by the lowest common denominator blandness curse so it was quite the surprise. Takes some courage to do that. Mitsuki, too, is much more autistic than initially anticipated and I was very thankful for it.
Lapis was nice, she's a bit of a retard-chan but actually executed well for once. I agree the game wouldn't be the same without her, she really feels like the actual protagonist and an active part of the story instead of a glorified camerawoman like most lesser retard-chans. Her design is nice and I love that stupid smug face she makes sometimes.
One day this world shall understand the superiority of pathetic moe.
