the idea that doing something that you like to do is always fun and is never challenging/painful at points is a childish mindset. tell that to pianists who love playing, but stress over studying an etude or something, or a gymnast frustrated with themselves at points because they can't make time or do their routine right after multiple attempts. i think you haven't thought about this word vomit post enough.
