You spend the next few days doing nothing but lounging around your house, before this routine is interrupted by a knock on your door. You open it up to see Aya, looking very glum and holding an envelope in her hand. This must be your pay. As she starts to hand it over to you, she stops. The look on her face tells you she knows that once she hands it over, things will be over. Rather timidly, she makes a suggestion of you "Why don't we just take a walk first, just to think, you know?" She's obviously delaying things, but you do understand what she's feeling. You nod and let her guide you to a patch of wilderness that was right outside the village. You remembered it. Back when things started with Aya, you used to go on walks there with her, one time you even had a picnic with her. It all seemed so nostalgic, despite it not even being that long ago. But your thoughts are interrupted by a figure coming out from the trees. Your heart seizes up. It's Tsukasa.

"Ah Anon, I wanted to catch you before you went back into the village. I have a proposition for you" she flashes you a smile "I couldn't help but think about the time we spent together a few days ago. You had an excellent performance, and I just wanted to see if you would be interested in using those skills for me. I'll pay you for it" Tsukasa turns to Aya, her smile full of malice. "After all, I heard someone got fired from his job recently. You could easily turn this into a career, it would be much better then your old job. You'd enjoy it, considering how much you liked your turns with me. Come on Anon, I'll even help you find customers if you want. Just agree and me and I'll-"

Tsukasa's sentence is cut short by Aya's fist hitting her square in the face. Tsukasa is knocked flat on her ass by the sudden blow. At first shocked, she touches her nose and finds blood on her fingers. and then her mask drops. Gone is Tsukasa Kudamaki, dutiful and loyal servant, gone is even the convincing trickster. Her face is that of a furious animal, angry at being hurt "You bitch!" she snarls "You hit me! Don't you know what that means?" Getting up to her feet, she pants and shakes in a rage "I was going to convince Megumu to let you off easy, but no more! Are you stupid, risking yourself for one of them?!" She points towards you, before locking onto you with a rabid stare "As for you, don't get cocky! You're still just a human, just one that happened to be good for something! Too bad this crow just threw your chances at that away. Watch your back Aya, I'll make you regret this" The fox stumbles away before taking off and flying into this distance.


Aya stands still, just as shocked as you at what she just did, and the outburst it caused. "Oh no" she says "I just made things worse for you. I just-" You pat her on the shoulder and give her a smile. Aya stares off into the distance for a while. "Well, I guess the least I could do is to keep an eye on you, just for a little bit, this is my fault after all"
