God I wish they'd stop tryharding so bad, all the hints at a troubled past and the fact that most characters have to be pieces of shit for the sake of it just come off as lame, it feels like Flanderization at this point. There was just a hint of that stuff in Koikari to complement the rest of the content so it worked well there, it felt like it was too much in Renai Royale but at least the heroines were entertaining.
But this time they fucked up the heroines way too much and you have a bakage that's trying way too hard to be serious while being hard carried by the setting and one heroine.
