Finished the original eight chapters of Higurashi recently. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them, my only real complaint is that Takano's personality seems to change drastically between Ch. 7 and Ch. 8. Given what we learn in 8, it seems bizarre that she would give Rena her journals, or why she spends time writing nonsense journals at all. I liked both portrayals of Takano, but I prefer conspiracy theorist Takano over ch. 8 Takano. Did I miss anything that explains her seeming change in character?
