Thing is, it happened to me too, just when I was a lot younger. I'm so sorry it happened to you too.
I had fun with her back then, then college happened and I don't even want to get into how she broke it off.
My next online gig I actually traveled and met this woman a few times but I was too much of a fuck up to keep up with things, she left for good reasons. I feel like that one shouldn't have even happened honestly it would've saved a lot of time and frustration.
Currently talking to at least one chick online but she's significantly younger so I can talk to her without the pressure of thinking "she's the one". Gaps only work in Gensokyo, so I'm just a friend.
My online bf though, I feel like I'm falling for the same trap again.

Stay out of online relationships unless you're capable of carrying someone else's emotional luggage and have the funds to travel.
