Not only that, but it's also a telltale sign that nobody, neither the suits nor the charges, seems to be giving a fuck about what they're doing, which begs the question of why should I, a long-time fan, should still look up to them nonetheless?
Allowing scandals to prolificate and make the rounds of all newspapers mean that:
the members are unhappy with their jobs since they're willing to put themselves on the red line no matter if it would damage their career;
the big cheeses have lost any interest in their own creation and couldn't care less if it would fall from grace because there's still other key projects of major interest and profit to develop and / or fall back on.
An idol group that is a day late and a dollar short with dealing with potentially noxious scandals is a through idol group. Doesn't that strikes a chord with you?
Look at MM's current condition and compare it with that of the scandal-free AKB. In particular, take into account that the concept of stage persona you can use to hide yourself behind is totally alien to the latter, to the point its very lack has become a staple and strong point of it.

Fascinating.
Now please get back to /b/.

Oh, and on a side note I finally brought myself to listen to Naichau Kamo.
If Tsunku wanted a change of pace he would've been better off not sticking with shoddy Eurobeat ripoffs. Then again, these recent shifts of genre should come as no surprise since he can't make decent Idol-variety JPop for shit anymore. The latest one's (Mikan, that is) fiasco must have driven it home to him.
