The discussion in the prologue of MBBAN is a callback to Arc's talk with Dust of Osiris in MBAA is it? Either that or it's her conversation with Sialim in later chapters.
Isn't it weird how Arc favors a path of evolution resulting from the concept of infinite expansion/infinite consumption?

According to Arc/AE in later chapters the world doesn't need to conserve and it will adapt to the growth resulting from consumption. Doesn't this mean the Atlas Alchemists are mistaken in their thinking?
