You need to get everything right, including but not limited to:
1) LBAS and support blowing away the PTs and possibly turrets
2) Enough of the enemy 2nd fleet gets rekt before the second day round
3) Hitting the boss hard enough to half health or less during the day
4) Taking Airfield Hime out of the picture during the day
5) 2nd fleet closers actually manage to close the game
If you have the time and resources, do it. If not, do what you want including lowering the difficulty.
