You know bros I miss NicoNico, well the thing is still, there but just watching the holos makes it clear that a lot was lost in the process of making it something more polished, the inherent shittiness of a zatsudan stream with a low res gif looping is something that sadly the holos can't deliver just due the expectations that are placed upon them, and the more the continue to grow the less casual it becomes
Maybe that's why a lot of roommates are coming out of retirement, Hololive is great but what initially drew them to the internet communities has been lost along the way. But at that point what are you in for, the holo or the person behind them? what about those who don't have active roommates? it's weird
