So...my stats seem to be really low for the level I am. Embarrassingly low?

>started off with 30 health and only got to 130 by level 20--I saw that a few people in their 20s are up to 400??
>my stats are 9-50, with charisma (which should be high because I started off with a charismatic race and building up my performing+negotiation stats) being the 2nd lowest at 12
>I have to rely too much on my pets

I don't know what to do--all I know is that I'd hate to start over and lose my character and my buildings (they're all very nicely customized). I have died quite a few times as you have guessed, but I've culled this by wearing armor that prevents attribute loss for the last few levels and dying only very rarely.
