I love this order of height, Ran has always seemed the tallest.

I can imagine the Yukumo family working like the Sœur system in Marimite with Yukari being the most senior of the three in the student counsel and Ran as her petite sœur doing all the actual work. Ran would have chosen Chen as her petite sœur entirely because she's adorable and Ran wanted to protect her.

Yukari would probably be kind of like Reimu, only even more lazy. Extremely good grades in her year, but spends most her time sleeping and ignoring her duties in the student counsel. Ran would be hard working, high achieving for her year and basically covering for all the work Yukari doesn't do actually running things, but if people give Ran trouble Yukari will suddenly get very active and back her up completely, followed by scolding Ran for letting it get that bad. Chen would have mostly average grades in her junior year and would spend most her time playing with friends being mostly carefree. She has very little duties because they don't trust her with them yet, but they look after her and Ran tutors her to keep up her grades, otherwise protects her innocence. Starting trouble with any of them starts trouble with all of them making them a rather formidable power in the school. When Yukari isn't slacking off she's usually bothering Reimu or talking with her friend Yuyuko. She makes extremely odd yet often effective decisions on the counsel (carried out by Ran more often then not) and has a very strange sense of humour. Occasionally jokingly hits on other girls.
