Time for chapter 2:

>The pink-haired shopkeep grumbled. "The harpy is bothering you again? Stupid crow, if I ever see her I'm definitely going to shoot her with my crossbow!"
>As if she had ever actually used it, and it wasn't just for show.
>"I doubt murder is a good idea. She might have friends. Then we'd have even more trouble," he responded. Still... it was tempting. And she was angering him quite a bit.
>"She stole your clothes! It's awful! What did she steal, anyway? What did she see?!" He looked at her curiously. Why was she asking *that*?
>"I'm off. Take care." He turned to leave. But she coughed, and he turned back around. "Hm?"
>"So... next time... how about... um... oh never mind. Take care!" She waved, and he left. The trip home was uneventful. That wasn't the problem. The problem was when he arrived at his cabin, and found the door ajar.
>Absurd. She had to be back. The damn bird!
>He rushed in, only to see her there. She was wearing his shirt from before, and eying a silver ring. The black harpy's eyes were so wide as she stared at it.
>"Okay, no. That's the end of this. You are not stealing my mother's ring." The harpy jumped, surprised he was there. But he had the door closed behind him. And he was angry. Really angry. This girl kept stealing his stuff, and there she was, in his shirt, going through all of his possessions like they were hers. No. No!
>He lunged at her, and she darted back. But she couldn't fly in here, the ceiling was too low. She scowled, even while blushing. She looked a little worried this time. Finally.
>"It's shiny, and it's mine now. Your mother's ring? You mean it's my ring!"
>"You can't even wear it!" He yelled, before lunging again. He managed to grab her this time.
>"Hey! No f-fair!" She struggled, but he had her by the wing. "Besides, you could always adjust it, right? That's what I heard your job is, anyway!"
>"Why would I want to put my mother's wedding ring on a thief?"
>"W-wedding ring?!" The harpy blushed, and dropped the thing. "Well... if that's what it is... I, uh... look, I don't want it anyway. Whatever!" She kicked him with her talon, and he lost his grip. She hopped over him, and ran to the door.
"Bye, onii-chan," she said before fleeing. Technically, this was a victory. Technically... until he noticed a necklace keepsake was also missing. Damn it. Damn that bird.
