Why was it considered a bad game? Was it because of the ugly MMD model?

The game had good gameplay tho a bit confusing when playing on the hardest difficulty.
The song selection was miles better than the other PD games of the time.
The costumes were fine but it was stupid that you had to buy the same costume if you wanted it on a different color.
The game runs at a smooth 60fps unlike PD which was locked at 30fps.

So why is it so hated? I don't see any clue pointing that it was a bad game, maybe mediocre or disappointing, but not bad.
