It's just stupid. Also, shitty moderation is costing Hiro money, literally. If they make the threads unpleasant, that's less people likely to visit the board again: and less ad revenue/clicks (not everyone runs ublock). It also makes people far more likely to leave for Reddit, or other alternative sites to discuss these topics. Hiro should care, but I doubt he does as one subboard like /jp/ is a drop in the bucket overall.
