Not saying the guy from the Vatican who presented it likes anime or anything, but this isn't the first time the Vatican got involved with anime. Catholics and the Vaticans really have no problem with it and never hated it in the first place, they made an anime in the 90's partnering with Osamu Tezuka's studio and when Evangelicals in the US was calling Pokemon satanic the Vatican said it wasn't and that it promotes friendship and kindness.
