A lot of them are just men that slowly drowing in the abyss of schizophrenia and possibly are too antilgbt to troon out, or are just catfishes seeking to score a hornball ready to erp.
If they are female then it's probably a troon, attention whore or something else. Usually they dosen't say it out loud to everyone because they dosen't want to deal with chrimps that lurk out for some erp or try to hook her up or even asking for lewds pics. Or just mentally fucked lads that have mommy issues or something that will take her for somekind of therapist.
Being with a female toho fan is cool but only for a while since toho only attract autists, adhd, schizos and other types of mentally ill people. And no "I can fix her" bros, you wouldn't be able to fix her, since crazy women are the worst and they can do the worst on you.
Yeah... It's better to keep it as a urban legend.
