I think it is mostly the female fans (read: fat girls who identify with Zukki) who are fans of Zukki.

An attack on Zukki is an attack on them because they are so emotionally damaged from being fat fucks that no one loves so they are really sensitive.
So, they are very vigilant in defending her and of course they attack Riho because she's seen as the perfect Musume or in their minds the most popular girl in high-school who always laughed at them for being fuck fats.

Fat girls are a waste of space and should kill themselves.
