It works given some circumstances, but not at the beginning of your song. Personally I would do it like this:

It's a i - VI7 - VII - V7 - VI - IV7 - V7 progression.
The fast section is great, but I would change the Fmaj chord to a dm7 with F in the bass. That's just my opinion, so feel free to disagree with me

I think it's too abrupt, but it doesn't necessarily means that it has to be long.
