What. Is that big gap there just due to kimono vs fanservice outfits? Both Rei Satoko just feel kind of boring to me. Marrying her to the Kimiyoshi family just feels wrong for something done off-screen, and outside of her speech pattern she pretty much has no similarities to her younger self. Which, of course, works with a 35 years timeskip, but also doesn't really give much to work with for her character.
