The god of weird eyed Touhou lewds, Aoshima, drew Seija as his (her?) latest work which was uploaded on danbooru three days ago. The art of this absolute madman numbers at 975 pictures there which is quite a respectable amount, rivaling and even exceeding the amount tagged to several new- or whohus. On gelbooru he has already passed the one thousand mark, and if he keeps the same average rate of drawing as during the last 20 images he has drawn, we can expect the 1000th image on danbooru from him on October 27th of this year. By then summer has of course ended, but as we warmly wait for this joyous occasion that will likely occur during that mighty cold period of late autumn or early winter, we will have plenty of time to reflect on how his art has influenced other artists who draw Touhou and what sort of impact it has had on Touhou Project in general during that nearly decade long time period that constitutes his active years.

Whatever your opinion on his works or style might be, one thing I think we can all agree on is that people who draw Touhou often come and go. Some were quick to jump on the bandwagon during its years of high popularity and were just as fast to drop out of it when the next flavor of the month rolled around. Dedication isn't guaranteed and you never know when an artist who you've taken for granted disappears and only then realize how much their works meant to you.

While Aoshima has never been a Touhou-exclusive artist, the fact that he has stuck with us since the time he started drawing Touhou and will likely continue to do so in the future makes him, in my opinion, a solid example of /ourguy/. May we be blessed by his eccentric sense of humor and obscene illustrations for many years to come.
